In N Out With 2010

*

NYE was so good I have decided to sum up the night in a somewhat different sort of way:

"In a Speedy Voice"...........SR to SF, Steph, Trav, Mark, Garrett, Myself, rain, downtown traffic, parking nightmares, Bloomingdale's, make-up, eyeliner fiasco, eyelashes, dice, bud light lime, champagne, roll away bed, fire alarm, sequins, zipper, curls, pictures, taxi's, Mas Sake, sushi, sake bombs, toast to the new year, vodka sodas, taxi again, The Parlour, dancing, jack and cokes, lack of jack in the cokes, laughter, bathroom debacles, confrontation, good jams, singing, more pictures, count down, new years kiss x2, pizza, In N Out burger, long lines, animal fries, MOLLY, remove eyelashes, sore feet, long walk, cold, more rain, mark-molly bicker, water fight, Advil, pass out, wake up, throw up, pack up, headache, meet up, long walk, breakfast, wet rag, good food, more rain, drive home.

That pretty much sums up the night!

Spending this night with some of the best friends a person can ask for, in one of the greatest cities in the world makes this NYE one of the best. Can't wait to see what 2011 brings!

Ladies Night Out

*

I'd like you to meet a few of my friends......Starting from the left pair of shoes in the above picture you have my Mama friend Leeanna. Next up we have my favorite partner in crime Tamara Tam. The pink shoes, well, that would be myself and the black boots are non other than my good friend Leah aka Leahtard. We started the night off with two more pairs of shoes that are missing from this picture, Lauren my "New Yorker" friend and Katie my crafty love.

Jackson's Bar and Oven was our first stop where we enjoyed some yummy pizza's and of course some very yummy bottles of wine. Of course we didn't want to stop there so we decided to keep our night going at Kristi's on the Square. It was here where we decided to enjoy a bottle of bubbles and chatted up a storm. DJ Evan Truthlive Phillips who hands down is my favorite DJ was there to grace our ears with some of my all time favorite jams. Since the music was ranging from Frank Sinatra to Jay-Z  you can only guess that my four friends and I decided to dance the night away.

From dancing with "nerds", singing Empire State of Mind at the top of our lungs (thank you DJ Evan), Leahtard requesting every song known to mankind, Leahtard taking the DJ spot light, to SO many laughs I can't even count. This made my night one of the best nights of my life. Till next time ladies....

*My pink shiny shoes are Betsey Johnson and I found them on ruelala.com. Leah's black boots are Steve Madden's. Tamara and Leeanna please comment on where your pretty little shoes are from as I can't remember for the life of me where you said you got them.

Santa Baby

*

It's that time a year again when the weather outside is frightful and the fire is so delightful which in turn,  lead me to the man in the jolly red suit, with his black boots, has 8 tiny reindeer, and delivers good things to all the nice boy's and girls. However the Santa that I saw...........Also delivered a naughty joke to an older women which lead him to having to take his ho..ho...hoing to Lefty O'Doul's after two decades of working at Macy's in San Francisco. I am here to report that he is still just as jolly and as popular as ever (the couple in front of me came from the mid west just to see him) and in fact was so thrilled to have a request such as mine to only take a picture of our shoes and said that it was the first sort of request he had gotten in his career.

Don't worry I didn't drive an hour or so and pay $55 in parking just to snap this picture and give the old man a high five for a 20 year job well done; I was there for the annual Arnerich family day (this year we made it an overnighter) in the city during the holiday's. You may think this is a completely normal thing for families to do and why yes it is however.....My immediate family consists of myself and husband, my 2 parents, 1 sister, 4 brothers, 2 sister-in-law's, 1 brother-in-law, 3 nephew's, 2 nieces and a partridge in a pear tree. Add the pouring down rain we embraced, the shopping we conquered, the dinner we shared, the piano bar where my brothers and I got up on stage to entertained the crowd and you will get not only another year of amazing memories with family but a nice little hangover to top it off.

My Friend Chuck

*

The inspiration for me to start a blog came when I decided to put on a pair of good ol' Chuck Taylor's by Converse. I looked at this picture I had taken a few months ago and thought of all the memories I have made while wearing these classic pair of shoes. That then got me thinking......EVERY pair of shoes I own (which is quite a collection) says not only something about my personal style but rather....A story of who I am and where I have been in my life. I am going to continue to blog different photos of me in my shoes (some other accessories may appear as well, I won't discriminate) to share the story of my life.  Who I will see, where I will be, and what kind of adventure I am going to be having, is what I hope to translate to you through a simple picture of a pair of shoes. I hope you enjoy.

A Girl In Her Shoes,
Erika

P.S. I will also make note of where I find my fabulous shoes, as I would love to help bring the same joy my shoes have brought me, into your life as well.
